The scope of judicial review in India is narrower than what exist in USA.

Answer: Judicial review is the power of judiciary to examine the constitutional validity of legislative enactment and executive orders of both central and state government. On examination, if they are found violative to the principle of the Constitution, they can be declared void, illegal, and unconstitutional.

In the Indian Constitution, although nowhere mentioned the concept of judicial review, but several provision explicitly confers the power of judicial review on the Supreme Court and High Courts. For instance, Article 13, all laws that are inconsistent with or in derogation to fundamental rights shall be null and void.
