Orang Tiger Reserve

According to a survey, Orang tiger reserve in Assam is host to 28 big cats, thus having the highest density nationally. It was revealed during phase IV of the all-India tiger estimation programme of the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA).

About the Reserve

  • The Orang National Park also known as Rajiv Gandhi Orang National Park which is located on the north bank of the Brahmaputra River in the Darrang and Sonitpur districts of Assam.
