Furnace Oil and Pet Coke

Recently, Supreme Court banned the use of furnace oil and pet-coke in Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh to reduce air pollution in Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR). The Environment Pollution Control Authority (EPCA) had in its 72nd report identified these two fuels as a major source of pollution in the NCR.
