District Administration in Rajasthan
- The state of Rajasthan is divided into 50 districts.
- However, it has a multi-layered structure from the administrative point of view. The state of Rajasthan is divided into 10 divisions which consist of a group of districts.
- Each district is divided into tehsils, sub-tehsils and subdivisions.
District Administration
- Below the divisions, functions the most important unit of administration i.e. the districts.
- The chief in-charge officer of the district administration is the District Collector.
- Under the district administration functions various administrative units performing revenue, law and order and developmental functions.
Sub-Divisional Administration
- Sub-divisional administration functions between the district and tehsil level.
