Noted Personalities
Arjun Lal Sethi
- Born on 9 September, 1880 in Jaipur.
- In 1902, passed B.A. examination and in 1905 established Jain Shiksha Pracharak Samiti under whose aegis in 1907, Vardhman Vidyalaya, Vardhman Hostel and Vardhman Library were established in Jaipur.
- He had good knowledge of Sanskrit, English, Persian, Arabic and Pali languages.
- Sethi ji gave shelter to Shaukat Usmani, the accused of Meerut case and Ashfalaqullah, the absconding accused of Kakori case.
- He was a strong supporter of Hindu-Muslim unity.
- While living in Ajmer he wrote the books Shudra Mukti, Stree Mukti and Mahendra Kumar.
- Died on 23 December, 1941.
