Fort Architecture

  • The first example of development of architecture of forts in Rajasthan is found in the excavation of Kalibangan.
  • Later, definite basis of construction of forts is seen in Maurya, Gupta and later era.
  • At this time, temples and water reservoirs started being given priority in fort construction.
