Meo Farmer Movement (1930-34)
- Area: Alwar and Bharatpur (Mewat).
- The movement of Meo caste started in 1931 itself.
Reasons:-
- Increase in rent by Maharaja Jai Singh.
- Problem of pigs or rodents.
- Communal demands of Meo Muslims.
- This was an anti-tax movement.
- Leaders: Mohammad Ali and Yasin Khan
- This was the only farmer movement in Rajasthan in which communal violence took place.
Neemuchana Kisan Andolan (1923-24 AD)
- In 1876, the first land settlement was done in Alwar on the British system.
- Neemuchana Kisan Andolan took place in Alwar. Presently it is in Bansur tehsil of Alwar district.
