Lokayukta of Rajasthan
- In March 2021, former Governor of Rajasthan Shri Kalraj Mishra appointed Justice Pratap Krishna Lohara, former Judge of Rajasthan High Court as Lokayukta of Rajasthan.
- The post of Lokayukta of Rajasthan was lying vacant since the term of Justice (Retd.) SS Kothari ended on March 7, 2019.
- In 1966, the First Administrative Reforms Commission (First ARC) headed by Morarji Desai submitted a special interim report on the "Problem of Redressal of Citizens' Grievances".
- The ARC recommended the establishment of two special authorities designated as 'Lokpal' and 'Lokayukta' for redressal of citizens' grievances.
- The institution was based on the pattern of Scandinavian Lokpal.
