​State Council of Ministers

  • The Council of Ministers consists of three types of ministers-
    • Cabinet Ministers- They are in charge of major departments of the state government such as Home, Education, Finance, Agriculture, etc.
    • State Ministers- They may be assigned departments independently or may be attached with Cabinet Ministers.
    • Deputy Ministers- They are not given independent charge. Work closely with Cabinet Ministers, assisting them in administrative, political and parliamentary responsibilities.
  • Article 163- There is a Council of Ministers to aid and advise the Governor. The advice so given is not subject to inquiry in any court.
  • Article 164- Collective responsibility towards the State Assembly i.e. Ministers ....
