Rajasthan High Court
- After independence, the erstwhile princely states of Rajputana were integrated into the state of Rajasthan.
- On the basis of the recommendation of a committee of Shri B.R. Patel, Lt. Col. T.C. Puri and Shri S.P. Singh, Jaipur was made the capital of the new Rajasthan state and the High Court was established at Jodhpur.
- The state of Rajasthan was formed on 30 March, 1949 and the five princely High Courts functioning at that time at Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Udaipur and Alwar were abolished by the Rajasthan High Court Ordinance, 1949 and the High Court of Rajasthan, Jodhpur was inaugurated.
