Cyber Crimes
- Police and Public Order are State subjects under the Seventh Schedule of the Constitution. States/UTs are responsible for crime prevention, detection, investigation, and prosecution, including cyber-crime, with support from the Central Government.
- The Ministry of Home Affairs established the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) to coordinate and manage cyber-crime across the country.
- Seven Joint Cyber Coordination Teams (JCCTs) were set up in cyber-crime hotspots (Mewat, Jamtara, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Vishakhapatnam and Guwahati) to enhance coordination among State/UT Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs).
