Fast Track Court Scheme
- The 14th Finance Commission recommended the setting up of 1800 FTCs during 2015-2020, urging State Governments to allocate funds for this purpose through enhanced fiscal space available.
- The Criminal Law (Amendment) Act, 2018 prompted the establishment of Fast Track Special Courts (FTSCs) exclusively dealing with POCSO Act cases, leading to the launch of the FTSC Scheme in August 2019.
