Four New Link Expressways

  • UP Chief Minister announced 4 new link expressways for better intra-state connectivity in June 2024.
  • New expressways include the Purvanchal Expressway, which will be connected to the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, and Ganga Expressway- which connects Farrukhabad and Jewar Airport via two link expressways.
  • The construction of the Chitrakoot Link Expressway will also be expedited, with a goal to complete the Ganga Expressway by December 2024.
  • Chief Minister highlighted the unprecedented progress in road infrastructure over the past seven years (since 2017), transforming Uttar Pradesh into an ‘Expressway State’.
