Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Ordinance
- In June, 2024 Uttar Pradesh government has passed the proposal for promulgation of an Ordinance related to Public Examinations.
- The Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Ordinance has made all offences cognizable and non-bailable.
- The provisions of the Ordinance would be applicable to public services recruitment examinations, regularization or promotion examinations besides the entrance examinations for degree, diploma and other courses.
- Distribution of fake examination papers and making fake employment websites have also been made punishable offenses.
- Those found guilty in such cases could face a jail term from two years ....
