The West Bengal Cabinet recently approved five additional fast-track courts for Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) cases, adding to the existing 62 POCSO courts and six e-POCSO courts. Nationwide, as of May 2024, 755 FTSCs, including 410 exclusive POCSO courts, are operational across 30 states and UTs, having resolved over 2,53,000 cases.
