The growing proximity between Russia-Pakistan-China poses fresh challenges for India in domestic and international spheres. Critically examine.
Answer: Geo-politics in the close vicinity of India and beyond is changing fast and presents new challenges for India. Interests of Pakistan, China and Russia have been gaining co-linearity in domestic and international arena and are often found antithetical to India’s posture.
Challenges to India
- National sovereignty: China and Pakistan violate India’s sovereignty as the China Pakistan Economic Corridor passes through the PoK which India considers its integral part. Even Russia has not supported India in this case and considers it a border issue between the three countries.
