Agricultural Chemicals

  • Large-scale agricultural production has led to increased use of farm chemicals such as pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.
  • These chemicals settle down on the ground, and when it rains, they mix with the rainwater and seep through the porous ground therby contaminating the ground water.

  • The term “septic” refers to the anaerobic bacterial environment that develops in the septic tank that decomposes or mineralizes the waste discharged into the tank.
