Indian Independence Act of 1947
The 3rd June Plan was given effect by the Indian Independence Act, 1947. The Bill was introduced in the British parliament on 4th July, 1947, and on 18th July received the royal assent.
- India had won her freedom but the price had been partition. The dominion of Pakistan was inaugurated in Karachi on 14th August 1947.
