C.R. Formula (1944)
After the Quit India movement, C. Rajagopalachari issued a pamphlet titled as “The Way Out” which proposed a solution for constitutional deadlock.
- It contained the formula for Congress – League cooperation. It was a tacit acceptance of the league demand for Pakistan. Gandhiji supported the formula.

- League to co-operate with Congress in forming a provincial government at the centre.
