Answer: The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), is a proposed Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between 10 ASEAN member states and their 6 FTA partners namely India, Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand and Republic of Korea.

Benefits of RCEP to India

  1. RCEP is vital for India as it accounts for 25 per cent of global GDP, 30 per cent of global trade, 26 per cent of FDI flows, and 45 per cent of the total population.
