Snow Leopard Population Assessment
On January 30, 2024, Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav released the results of India’s first scientific Snow Leopard Population Assessment.
- According to the report, India has 718 snow leopards, with presence recorded in 93,392 sq km. 241 unique snow leopards were photographed.
