Global Gender Gap Report, 2024

The 18th edition of the Global Gender Gap Report was released by the World Economic Forum (WEF) on June 11, 2024.

  • The report states that achieving full gender parity will take 134 years, until 2158, which extends five generations beyond the 2030 Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) target.
  • The report has been published annually since 2006 and includes 146 countries in its 2024 edition.
  • The Global Gender Gap Index measures gender parity across four key indices:
    1. Economic Participation and Opportunity
    2. Educational Attainment
    3. Health and Survival
    4. Political Empowerment
