​Supreme Court Limits ED’s Power to Arrest under PMLA

On 16th May, 2024, the Supreme Court of India ruled that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and its officers cannot arrest an accused exercising powers under Section 19 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, after the Special Court has taken cognizance of the complaint of money laundering.
