Self-enumeration in Upcoming Census
On 22nd May, 2023, Union Home Minister inaugurated the Janganana Bhavan in New Delhi.
- On the occasion, he released a collection of reports which said that self-enumeration for Census will be provided to only those households that have updated their data in the National Population Register (NPR) online.
- The Office of the Registrar of General of India (ORGI), which conducts the Census, has developed a “self-enumeration (SE)” portal for NPR which is presently available in English only.
