Answer: Several internal and external pressures influenced the youths’ minds in India during the early twentieth century, resulting in the birth of revolutionary ideology.

Reasons of development of Revolutionaries:

  • The failure of the leadership to harness the revolutionary forces of the youth.
  • The government's repression to non-violent protest.
  • Inspiration from Irish nationalists or Russian nihilists who took individual heroic actions.
  • However, it was the abrupt end of Non-Cooperation Movement that caused widespread disillusionment amongst the active and mobilized youth that then started to rally behind revolutionary ideas.
