Total PRIs: As of November 2022, the total number of PRIs in 32 States/UTs are 3188981.

Total Female Representatives: As of November 2022, the total number of female representatives in PRIs are 1454488 i.e., 45.60%.

Schemes & Programs

Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Sashaktikaran Abhiyan (RGPSA): It aims to enhance the capacities and effectiveness of GPs and Gram Sabhas, etc.

Model Citizen’s Charter: It details different categories of services rendered to the citizen by the Panchayat, the conditions for such service and the time limit for such service and aligning actions with localised SDGs.
