Answer: The contribution of Mughals in the field of painting was rich and remarkable. Mughals were the first who introduced new themes in paintings like court scene, battle and chase, and also added new colour and forms.

  • Humayun has taken two master painters in his service namely Mir Sayed Ali and Abdus Samad who accompanied him to India. Later, under their leadership, during Akbar reign, painting were organized into an imperial establishment called “Karkhanas”.
