Indian National Army

Rash Bihari Bose, a revolutionary inhabiting Japan convened a conference in Tokyo on March 28, 30, 1942 and formed the Indian Independence League. It raised the army of Indian liberation. Captain Mohan Singh—a captured British army officer by Japan was persuaded to join the Indian Independence Movement.

• First phase: The idea of floating INA was of Captain Mohan Singh who was fully assisted by the Japanese in this endeavour. The INA was formally set up on September 1, 1942 at Singapore. He succeeded in raising INA of 25,000 which swelled up to 40,000 by August 1942. Mohan Singh was keen to ....
