How did cave architecture develop in different part of India? Explain
Answer: Rock-cut architecture is the practice of creating a structure through carving it out on a solid rock. Indian rock-cut architecture is found in almost every part of country and is an excellent example of qualitative carving.
- In western India, Ajanta Caves is the most famous cave located in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra. It has large Chaityas, Viharas and is decorated with sculptures and paintings such as Mahaparinibbana image of Buddha.
