Answer: Due to India's historical association with British colonial rule, there are many similarities between the Indian parliamentary system and the British parliamentary system. Bicameral Parliament, role of Prime Minister, presence of nominal and real executive, elections to lower house etc. are some of the major similarities. Despite these similarities, there are notable differences between the two countries' systems.
