Answer: Public service delivery is important facets of democratic governance. However, Public authorities in India still do not associate citizens or citizen’s groups such as non-government organizations, consumer groups and the media with formulation or evaluation of government’s policies and programmes. This results in lack of transparency and accountability of civil servant while delivering services to people. Also, non-involvement of public in service delivery led to misappropriation of public resources.
