Compare and contrast Sufi and Bhakti movement in India. What were the factors that led to the emergence of Bhakti Movement?

Answer: Sufism was liberal reform movement within Islam which stressed the elements of love and devotion as effective means of the realization of God while Bhakti movement was revivalist religious reform movement during medieval period that sought salvation through the practice of devotion.
