Factors responsible for the rise of second phase of revolutionary movement:

  • Disillusionment with Gandhian politics.
  • Inspiration from International revolutions. They were influenced by the Russian Revolution as well as the political theories emerging in Ireland, China, Turkey, Egypt, etc. Bengal, Punjab, Delhi, and United Province emerged as the centre of revolutionary activities.
