  • Direct Action and Revolutionary Activities: Extremist nationalists like Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Bipin Chandra Pal, and Lala Lajpat Rai promoted direct actions such as boycott of British goods, refusal to cooperate with colonial authorities, and organizing mass protests. Some revolutionaries took to violence, targeting British officials and infrastructure.
