Cyber Crime
Total Cases: According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data, India reported 52,974 cases of cybercrime in 2021, an increase of over 5% from 2020 (50,035 cases) and over 15% from 2019 (44,735 cases).
Top State with Cybercrime: As per National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data, Telangana topped the chart among states, accounting for more than 19 per cent.
- The next two states in the list, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka, however, saw the number decrease by 20 per cent and 24 per cent.
