Squalus Hima
- At Sakthikulangara fishing harbour in Kerala, scientists from the Zoological Survey of India (ZSI) recently discovered a new species of deep-water dogfish shark, named Squalus hima.
- Spurdogs, the genus to which this new species belongs, are known for their smooth spines on dorsal fins and are found in various marine environments worldwide.
