What is the Importance of Making Notes?
Importance
- Make your own notes, please. You will benefit from it since the notes you create on your own will make it easier for you to remember the information.
- You should write different notes for the UPSC Preliminary and Main exams. Why is that? Because you need to cover a wide range of topics in-depth in Prelims without becoming bogged down in statistics and figures, whereas you need to cover only a few topics in-depth in Mains. Additionally, only a small portion of the events for Prelims require continuous updating, whereas the majority of the events for Mains must.
To be perfectly honest, you don't need to take notes for each and every sub-topic listed in the syllabus for each Prelims and Mains paper. Instead, you ought to take a cautious approach. What are the crucial subjects? Which facts do you want to be able to recall quickly throughout the exam (both preliminary and main)? What subject includes significant data and facts? Which subject requires updating and is relevant today? If you're unsure of which subjects to take notes on, ask yourself these questions. |
