What is Right?

  • Right is the legal claim that a citizen or any other individual is granted by constitution or any statute for example right to life
  • Rights are the bedrock of democracy. Rights not only promote individual development but also are generally associated with equality in modern times. Rights are the protection against arbitrary government action.

Origin of Rights

  • The concept of rights came with the concept of citizenship. It was first came in ancient Greek but the citizenship and granting of rights was not universal, it was limited to few people.
