Mercy Killing
Mercy killing is also known as Euthanasia. It is broadly classified into two types i.e., active euthanasia, which is legal in only a few countries, entails the use of substances to end the life of the patient; and passive euthanasia which involves simply stopping lifesaving treatment or medical intervention with the consent of the patient or a family member or a close friend representing the patient.
Constitutional Provisions: Article 21 deals with right to live and right to die.
