SC on Tribunals
- In November 2019, a Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court struck down in entirety Rules framed by the government under the Finance Act of 2017 to alter the appointments to 19 key judicial tribunals, including the Central Administrative Tribunal.
- The SC struck down the section 184 of finance act 2017 as it suffered from excessive delegation of legislative function. Plus, the changes were introduced under Money bill to avoid Rajya Sabha’s scrutiny.
