- Recently Chief Justice of India while heading a Constitution Bench reviewing challenges against the amendments in Finance Act 2017 suggested having as few tribunals as possible.
- A tribunal is a quasi-judicial body established in India by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature under Article 323A (Administrative Tribunal) or 323B (Tribunals for other matters) to resolve disputes that are brought before it.
