​Gandhi Peace Prize

  • Recently Gandhi Peace Prize winners were announced for four years from 2015 to 2018.
  • List of Awardees:
    • 2018: Yohei Sasakawa (Goodwill Ambassador of the WHO for Leprosy Elimination.)
    • 2017: Ekal Abhiyan Trust (for contribution in rural and tribal education in remote areas, rural empowerment, gender, and social equality.)
    • 2016: Jointly given to Akshaya Patra foundation and Sulabh International (Akshay Patra for its contribution towards mid-day meals to children and Sulabh International for sanitation efforts and emancipation of manual scavengers.)
    • 2015: Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari (Contribution to rural development, education, development of natural resources.)
  • Gandhi Peace Prize is an annual award instituted in 1995 on 125th birth anniversary ....
