​75th Anniversary Of The Azad Hind Government

  • On 21-October-2018, Government celebrated the 75th Anniversary of the formation of Azad Hind Government.
  • Azad Hind Fauj/ Indian National Army (INA):
    • The idea of INA was first conceived in Malaya by Mohan Singh and on 1 September 1942, the first division of INA was formed.
    • When British Indian Army lost to Japan in wars during Second World War, the soldiers were captured by Japan. Japanese allowed Mohan Singh to organize these Indian prisoners of war into the Indian National Army which would fight along with Japanese Army against the British.
