On the power tussle between the Centre and the AAP government, the Constitution Bench of SC discussed over the LG’s ad-ministrative powers.

Remember This

  • Delhi Government cannot adjudicate on land, public order, police, law and order.
  • Delhi police does not fall under Delhi State Government; it reports directly to Union Home Ministry.

Court Ruling: The Supreme Court observed that aid and advice (of the Delhi government) should be accepted and respected unless there is an abuse of authority.
