Recusal of Judges
The recusal of judges refers to the voluntary withdrawal or disqualification of a judge from presiding over a case due to a perceived conflict of interest, bias, or any other reason that might compromise their impartiality in delivering a fair judgment.

- The practice originates from the fundamental principle of due process — nemo judex in sua causa, meaning no individual should act as a judge in their own case.
