Social Justice in India

In the Indian Constitution, social justice finds place significantly in the Preamble, Fundamental Rights and Directive Principles of State Policy. The leaders of India’s freedom movement visualized that in the new dispensation following political freedom, the people should have the fullest opportunity for advancement in the social and economic spheres and that the state should make suitable provisions for ensuring such process.
