Smart Policing
- Smart policing is an idea attempt to assess the performance of various states on PM’s Smart Policing initiative.
- The concept was introduced by the Prime Minister during the 49th annual conference of Directors-
- General and Inspectors-General of Police in Guwahati on November 30, 2014.
- SMART policing envisaged systemic changes to transform the police to be:
- S: Strict and Sensitive
- M: Modern and Mobile
- A: Alert and Accountable
- R: Reliable and Responsive
