Industrial Clusters
- On 22nd January 2025, as part of the World Economic Forum’s Transitioning Industrial Clusters Initiative, 33 industrial clusters across 16 countries pledged to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions while fostering economic growth and job creation.
- The clusters represent potential CO2-equivalent emissions reductions of 832 million tonnes, comparable to Saudi Arabia's annual emissions, and contribute USD 492 billion to GDP while supporting 4.3 million jobs globally.
- Five clusters from India, including Gopalpur Industrial Park (green energy tech), Kakinada Cluster (green ammonia and hydrogen), Kerala Green Hydrogen Valley (hydrogen transport), Mundra Cluster (green power integration), and Mumbai Green Hydrogen Cluster (hydrogen economy).
