Mission on Advanced and High-Impact Research
Recently, the Ministry of Power and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy jointly launched a National Mission titled "Mission on Advanced and High-Impact Research (MAHIR)" in the power sector.
- MAHIR aims to quickly identify emerging technologies, develop them indigenously, and deploy them within and outside India. It seeks to leverage these technologies as a catalyst for future economic growth, making India a manufacturing hub of the world.
Mission Objectives
The key objectives of the Mission are:
- Identifying emerging technologies in the power sector with future relevance.
- Developing these technologies indigenously, from idea to product.
- Fostering collaboration among power sector stakeholders for collective brainstorming ....
