Challenges
- Trivial Nature of Economy: The tribal economy is mainly concentrated around the collection and processing of Minor Forest Products and cultivation largely for the purpose of domestic consumption.
- Lack of Modern Means of Production: A substantial number of tribals are still cut off from the modern world and thus are unable to adapt to modernization. Efficient production using modern means becomes imperative for the economic development of this community.
- No Proper market Structure: The tribal economies lack organized markets as well as financial institutions to promote the tribal products.
- Demand-Supply Mismatch: There is a huge demand for tribal artifacts, textiles, ....
